TOPIC 5

Improving the understanding of risks of corruption

Topic Overview

Submissions must focus on ways or methodology to identify, assess, and understand risks of corruption and quantifying its impact. The approach could be at the national and/or sectoral level. Understanding the risks of corruption is an essential part of the implementation and development of a national anti-corruption framework (which includes laws, regulations, enforcement and other measures), as it assists in the prioritization and effective allocation of scarce resources to mitigate and manage the identified risks. Proposals that can be adapted to different contexts and that contemplate that corruption risks can change or evolve over time would be particularly welcomed.
